Patchouli Oil is an essential oil from the aromatic plant Pogostemon Cablin which is part of the mint family. To produce Patchouli Oil the leaves are harvested and allowed to dry out and then is extracted using steam distillation.
Patchouli Oil’s characteristic scent is described as woody, sweet and spicy.

How to use Patchouli Oil
Patchouli Oil can be used in a burner or diffuser. Generally 30 minutes is the recommended amount of time and after that you should take a break
For topical application always dilute with a carrier oil such as Jojoba Oil. Using up to 5% Patchouli is considered to be sufficient to be of benefit. Those with sensitive skin should always patch test for irritation.
As an insecticide research has shown using 10% -15% gets the best results.
