It took me decades to realise that it is impossible to set a regime that is either enjoyable or really strict for a long time and get the same results. In fact, I noticed that it happens often that one day I do something nice and healthy and feel great and when I continue with the same routine, I will not feel the same greatness as on the first day.
The body is constantly changing and reacting very quickly to stimulus. For this reason, we need to pay very close attention to these reactions every day, which is not a small job. Some people employ natural health experts and some people go to doctors.
Health experts cost a lot of money and take a lot of time and doctors will put you on chemical medications that block every chance to be able to learn your body’s natural reactions.
As I can’t keep running to health experts all the time and I certainly don’t want to poison myself with chemical medication, I spend a lot of time trying many different pure and organic foods and supplements and record my body’s reactions. I have been doing this for decades and by now I have a good idea what makes me feel good and healthy.
I had to learn a completely new and different regime to what I was living on when I was a child. Sadly, all the wonderful things that my Granny cooked had to go. Even today I miss her yummy cakes, meatballs and meatloaf, deep fried pastries, sugar loaded pastries and even the yummy salads where the dressing had enough sugar. My goodness what a shame.
On the other hand, I recapped on her health status that was far from great. She was heavily overweight and in and out of hospitals. She suffered with a lot of pain and many chronic illnesses and at the end she died from cancer. This made me think and helped me to keep to the healthy foods.
The interesting part is that there is a lot more factors in trying to keep good health. Today we need to take into account external and in house pollution and never forget about the biggest problem in our society STRESS.
